On Thursday 27th October 2022, RSBC held its “Autumnal Family Fun Day” at the Life Without Limits Centre (LWLC) in London. Blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families were invited to take part in various activities in a friendly, Halloween inspired atmosphere.

On Sunday October 2nd 2022, 43 RSBC runners from the UK and overseas crossed the start line for the TCS London Marathon, the weather was perfect and the crowds were out in force lining the 26.2 route to the finish line on The Mall.

Her Late Majesty The Queen was the RSBC’s Royal Patron and on Monday 19th September, we observed the national holiday to mark The Queen’s funeral. At the Royal Society for Blind Children, we are deeply saddened by the death of our much-loved Patron.

Fifteen-year-old Kyle is living with nystagmus, an eye condition which causes constant involuntary eye movements and his vision to be reduced. He was experiencing blackouts and panic attacks.

In honour of the Queen as our Royal Patron RSBC ran a celebratory Jubilee campaign #JubileeforRSBC. We ran special jubilee-themed activities with the children and young people we support.
