Announcing the winners of the RSBC Royal Creation Competition

Today we are delighted to share the winners of our Royal Creation Competition. All of our entrants were outstanding, so our judges Anne Fine and Bianca Rafaella had a really difficult task. Well done to the 4 talented artists from Moorend School who will all have Hobbycraft vouchers to spend.

Celebrating success at RSBC Dorton College’s 2024 prize giving ceremony

RSBC Dorton College celebrated the achievements of its vision-impaired students in a joyful ceremony on July 11, 2024, at the Life Without Limits Centre in London. The event highlighted the students’ hard work and included special awards, speeches, and performances.

Dorton College Students Score with RSBC-Palace Football Day

John Harney and Ben Perriman from the Palace For Life Foundation, the official charity of Crystal Palace FC, hosted the event. During the afternoon, 18 students took part in football-themed team competitions based on speed and accuracy – although the main goal was to have fun as the 2024 academic year ended!

Against the Odds – Zenny’s Story

Zenny is a 22-year-old woman who has been registered Severely Sight Impaired since birth. Fiercely intelligent, she chose not to take up an offer from university as she was determined to follow a pathway into the creative industries (music and acting), but encountered both material and attitudinal obstacles to doing so.
