Coventry mum raises thousands for RSBC

November 18, 2021
RSBC has witnessed an amazing fundraising effort from Stacey, her six-year-old son Teddy and their very determined group of friends from Coventry.
Along with her family and local fitness club Bootcamp FM, Stacey took part in the Leicester Winter Wolf Run to fundraise for RSBC.
Teddy’s sight loss
Teddy has a rare genetic disorder that is sadly causing him to lose his sight. Stacey and her friends decided that they wanted to raise funds for RSBC, which is now supporting the family through its Families First service.
Gruelling challenge
The impressive challenge saw the group run 11.8km cross country, overcoming obstacles and running through ice-cold water along the way!
Despite the gruelling conditions, the group had a lot of fun around the course! “We had a whale of a time, we were laughing the whole way!” Stacey told us.
Teddy was there cheering Stacey on as she went over the obstacles, shouting “Look at Mummy go!”.
Target smashed
The group have already smashed through their target of £5000, raising over £5,500!
Thank you so much to Stacey and the members of Bootcamp FM, your kindness and determination is admired and appreciated.
