Coventry mum raises thousands for RSBC

Teddy’s sight loss

Teddy has a rare genetic disorder that is sadly causing him to lose his sight. Stacey and her friends decided that they wanted to raise funds for RSBC, which is now supporting the family through its Families First service.

Gruelling challenge

The impressive challenge saw the group run 11.8km cross country, overcoming obstacles and running through ice-cold water along the way!

Despite the gruelling conditions, the group had a lot of fun around the course! “We had a whale of a time, we were laughing the whole way!” Stacey told us.

Teddy was there cheering Stacey on as she went over the obstacles, shouting “Look at Mummy go!”.

Target smashed

The group have already smashed through their target of £5000, raising over £5,500!

We were delighted to host two workshop sessions with renowned poet Dave Steele recently, and they certainly fired up the imaginations of the young people who attended! We’re pleased to be able to showcase the incredible talent that came out of the workshops in the beautiful poems written by those attending below.

Dorton College careers day: giving our students the confidence to shine

A volunteer’s journey: Meet Joné
