Exploring music and storytelling for vision impaired children

Five people (a female tutor, a young boy, a mother and a mother holding her baby) sat in a library holding and playing percussion instruments.

We recently held two music sessions at Southwark libraries that brought joy and creativity to young people. We read from the book ‘The Rhythm of the Rain’ and got them to play different instruments, creating weather sounds. This was a fun way to combine music and storytelling, making it accessible for vision-impaired children and their families.

We enjoyed working with Southwark libraries and hope to have more sessions like this in the future.

Keep an eye on our calendar of activities for the next workshop
