What’s it about?

If you want to feel empowered and knowledgeable about the world of technology, then join our Accessible Technology sessions!

Our Assistive Technology Officer for blind and partially sighted young people and their families can provide support with using a wide range of devices:

  • smart phones
  • computers
  • braille readers…and more!

They can also offer support in how everyday devices can be used to support blind and partially sighted people in areas including travel, finances, wellbeing and fitness, independent living, school – the list goes on!

Who’s it for?

You can arrange a personal session with the Assistive Technology Officer, designed just for you, or you and your family.

These sessions can be arranged at the Life Without Limits Centre (LWLC) in London, a space dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families offering a Media Suite, Learning Hub and a Creative Suite.  The sessions can also be delivered online.

We also run a range of group workshops at the LWLC and online.

All sessions last between 1 and 1.5 hours and can be arranged at a date and time that’s convenient to you.

How will it help me and my family?

The world of technology is always changing, so our Assistive Technology Officer will help you to keep up with current trends and to learn about the right software and apps to make technology accessible for you.  Along the way you can also get involved with our online gaming sessions and have some fun.
