Owain
Senior Community Support Worker
Hi everyone, I’m the Senior Community Support Worker here at RSBC. I love working here and seeing young people enjoy themselves and learning at the same time. I help oversee the quality of the sessions we are providing and also run a lot of the workshops with young people and families. Outside work, I enjoying being creative! I like playing music and also drawing, which is what originally led me to become the creative lead at RSBC before becoming a Senior Community Support Worker.
Mark
Senior Community Support Worker
Hello, I’m Mark the Senior Community Support Worker, and I’ve been with RSBC since Summer 2016. I also lead on our Employment service. My job offers a great balance: working directly with young people to plan and realise their futures and, at the same time, supporting our team to grow, develop and deliver the best service we can to our communities. The biggest buzz I’ve got from working at RSBC is being so close to the talent, energy, and ambitions of our young people, and seeing how rich and diverse they are. Outside work, I’ve always got my head stuck in a book or my fingers caught in guitar strings.
Vivek
Community Services Delivery Manager
Hi everyone, I’m Vivek, and I’ve been working with RSBC since 2015. My favourite thing about working here is seeing people become more confident and independent -it’s happened lots of times, and it really doesn’t get old to me. When I’m not at work, I like exercising and cooking, so these are always my favourite types of workshops to be involved in.
Since 2023, I’ve been working as the Community Services Delivery Manager, and using my experience to help shape the programme we put on to be as impactful as it can be.
Alex
Senior Accessibility Adviser
Hi! I’m Alex the Senior Accessibility Adviser at RSBC, I train and advise young people on how to use Assistive Technology and ensure products and services are accessible to visually impaired users. I have a passion for empowering others to learn more, and I love to share my personal tips and tricks as a visually impaired person. When I’m not working, I love traveling, playing RPG games, and tinkering with smart home products.
Ali
Employment and Community Support Worker
I am the Employment and Community Support Worker at RSBC. My role is a dual one – on one hand, I meet and work one-to-one with young people who are ready for their next steps in life, helping them develop the tools and skills they need to be empowered to make confident decisions about their future. On the other, I design, set up and participate in a range of activities alongside the Community Services team, whether that’s an accessible cooking session, sports and even gaming! I have many years of experience in employability and community work supporting people to thrive and pursue their own paths in life and look forward to continuing that work with RSBC.
Fran
Community Support Worker
Hi there, I’m Fran, and I’ve been a Community Support Worker at the RSBC since December 2023. I am a musician, so I run lots of creative activities at the LWLC including jam sessions and karaoke sessions. I also co-lead Sisterhood and our LGBTQIA+ group, which are virtual sessions. I have lots of experience working within the vision impairment sector prior to taking on my role at RSBC. When I’m not working, I can be found playing Irish traditional music in pubs across London.
