RSBC featured on ITV as part of the Jubilee weekend celebration coverage!
June 9, 2022
In honour of the Queen as our Royal Patron RSBC ran a celebratory Jubilee campaign #JubileeforRSBC. We ran special jubilee-themed activities with the children and young people we support.
RSBC on ITV
A highlight of the Jubilee weekend was RSBC being featured on ITV as part of The National Lottery’s Big Jubilee Street Party programme.
Our footage showed a cook-along session where a group of young people each decorated jubilee cakes. The group had lots of fun and got very competitive over their designs.
Dorton College Jubilee Lunch
Our other celebrations included a special Jubilee lunch at Dorton College our specialist Further Education college for blind and partially sighted young people.
The students and staff enjoyed an array of treats including the fabled Platinum pudding made by our students.
Jubilee support for RSBC
Our generous supporters have taken part in our #JubileeforRSBC campaign as part of their own Jubilee activities. We encouraged supporters to bake, make or share something in celebration of the Jubilee.
Abi, who is supported by RSBC’s Families First service, supported us in her own way by drawing a special picture of Buckingham Palace with flags and wrote a lovely message to The Queen.
We are very grateful for all the support we have received over the Jubilee. Thank you!
