Vision impaired young people enjoy an adventure on the Thames

A diverse group (8) of children, young people and an adult standing in front of Tower Bridge in a group pose, smiling and looking at the camera. A boy with dark glasses and and cap, and a young person wearing a Parka coat are both holding white canes.

We recently organised a fun ‘Horrible Histories’ boat trip on the Thames for vision impaired children, young people, and their families. It was a whistlestop tour of the River Thames, filled with lots of unusual facts and stories brought to life by the cast and crew. Everyone had a great time enjoying the outdoor experience together!

When asked about the trip, these were some of the replies:

“Thank you so much. I had such a good time. I was laughing my head off!”

“RSBC is a great charity to go on adventures with, like this boat tour!”

“Our son had a great time. We would love to do more activities like this in future”
